Around this time the baseball bat of the newly revived criminal was shooting through the air. Alas it was nothing more than wood, and no matter how hard it was sent flying, it was not capable of doing anything. Splinters hit the ground all around them but the monster had only succeeded in obtaining Gabriel's attention. His wings flapped once and suddenly Gabriel was airborne. In no more than a second or two, he had spanned the distance and run his hand straight through the zombie.

"Villain, cease this immediately. Stop desecrating the dead and leave them in peace!" Gabriel realized that he had not provided sufficient enticement for the criminal to carry out these orders. Reasons had to be provided and threats always worked, though in his case they were closer to promises than simple threats. "You have already sealed your own fate. Do not make this any worse for the deceased. Purgatory awaits you! Girl, you stay behind" Gabriel shouted and flapped his wings a single time, rising high into the air. The final shout was to make sure that Silvia did not interfere with this ordeal. The girl had teleported in, so she must possess some ability. Either way, Gabriel did not require not desire any kind of assistance. Fighting alongside other heroes always seemed to complicate things, especially if they did not have any kind of experience working together.

His eyes scanned the streets, rooftops and possible alleys where this antagonist could be hiding. After a couple of seconds the angel's eyes fell on Keval and after pushing his wings back once, Gabriel shot into the alley. His wings cut through the buildings at the side, causing both of the adjacent walls to collapse into the alley. The buildings required much more to actually topple, but the walls fell over and threatened to bury Keval.

Windows shattered, buildings collapsed and in the aftermath a hail of shards hit the streets. People in their nearby proximity were undoubtedly going deaf, but fortunately most people had already fled. His opponent had vanished from sight and Gabriel felt satisfied calling this one a job well done. In the creature's stead, something different appear though, something which sent fear stifling throughout Gabriel's limbs and torso. It was not very often that this particular man was struck with fear, in fact, it had only occurred less than a handful times before.

With eyes wide open and a ball of lead inside his stomach, The Angelic spoke. "S-Spectre, the wrath of god" He was able to stutter out, as his wings slowly flapped. This creature was of impressive size, hundreds of feet tall in fact. "N-NO!" Gabriel shouted and raised both hands to shield himself, he was most certainly not ready to die. Why was he facing God's wrath for this, the Spectre did not even charge him with any crimes.

A lightning struck down from above and took Gabriel out of the sky. Buildings had been toppled and this particular street in Gotham was anything but in good shape. Down inside a crater lay Gabriel smoking, his wings seemed to be okay but smoke was rising from his body, clearly burnt. After a couple of seconds he rose from the ground and looked around. While Gabriel's arms, legs and wings were still fully capable of flight, his mind had taken quite a blast. An electrical attack, or more specifically, magical energy-lightning or this scope had its effects on one's perception.

Still groggy and shaken from the attack, it took him a bit longer than expected to put the pieces together. Eventually however it dawned on the angel though, Keval had tricked him. "How dare you assume the shape of God's righteous anger" Gabriel shouted angrily, deciding to launch a little retaliation. Flexing both wings he shot into the air like a bullet and circled the enormous figure, attempting to land a punch against it's grey face and then follow it up with an overhead smash.
