"So you do this every year?" she asked. "I want to come with you next year."
She turned to leave. "Let's go, then. You have a very loyal summon, you know. Stopped me from smacking you earlier."

Dawne nodded. She could respect his decision.

"Sojourn? Yes. Although don't call him summon in front of him. He wouldn't take it very well." Rhys said. "He and Voja are the last of
their species."
"Anyway, we should go." he said. "It's getting late." |

Dawne blinked. "Really? That's too bad."
She turned to leave. "They can live on Jirakae too, if they want." She gestured for him to lead. "It's your world, not mine. Lead the way." |

"It's their decision." Rhys said. He was awfully quiet and calm. Probably because of their location.
He looked around. "Where's your sister?" Evriya was in the forest talking with the wolves. |

"Probably talking to the wolves," Dawne said. "She can't be far."
She carried on walking. "See? There she is." She walked over to her sister. "Let's get moving," she said. "We'll be following Rhys." She turned to Sojourn, bowing. "Hello, I'm Dawne. Pleased to meet you." |

"Hello, summoner." Sojourn said.
"Sojourn is very sensitive to magic and detecting people's abilities." Rhys said. "Indeed. He knew I was a summoner too." Evriya said. "We're leaving." Rhys said. Both wolves nodded knowing what he meant. "Why don't we just portal from here?" Evriya asked. "It would be faster." "In this mana? Here a simple firespell to light a campfire can turn into a massive fireblast incinerating you." Rhys said shaking his head. "No, we must head to the Low Lands." |

Dawne nodded.
"We should listen to him, Evriya," she said. "This is his world, not ours. We mustn't take undue risks." She turned to Rhys. "Lead the way, then." |

Rhys turned and started walking at fast pace towards the field where Dawne and Evriya had portaled to. The wolves followed them.
"Was he this quiet when you two were traveling together?" Evriya whispered to Dawne when they started moving. |

Dawne nodded. "Yes, except for our fights," she said. "....Don't give me that look. You cannot tell me you and Tristan have never fought
before."
>>> Romania was still keeping an eye on the demonic elf, to make sure he wasn't a threat to her charges. |

Evriya started thinking hard trying to remember if she and Tristan had ever fought. "You know, I believe we have never fought. Not a fiery fight like you
and Rhys fight anyway."
Rhys rolled his eyes. "Lets quicken the pace." he said. |

Dawne stared at her sister before walking ahead. Never fought? How the HECK is that possible?
She and Rhys fought a lot during the first part of their journey back on Jirakae. Everytime it got peaceful, one of them would put their foot in their mouth and ruin the moment. Dawne was fairly certain that Immortal had been close to banging her head against a wall. "How can you and Tristan have not fought? Every couple fights!" |

"Well, we've had some minor arguments but nothing too major." Evriya said shrugging. "I suppose it's our personalities. I'm overly
happy and cheerful and he's a bit shy."
She looked at her sister. "You and Rhys however are both very strong willed, stubborn and neither of you wants to back down. I met all those as compliments but I guess that's why you fight so often." Rhys's eye brow twitched at those "compliments" but he didn't say anything. "By the way, I thought you said you were going to kiss him." Evriya whispered to her sister. |

Dawne blinked, nodded, and stopped Rhys. "I owe you something," she said, staring into his eyes before giving him a passionate kiss.
>>> Romania rolled her eyes. "Mortals," she muttered, and turned her attention back to the demon elf freak. |

Rhys blinked, surprised by the kiss. Then he returned the kiss the wolves and Evriya walking right past the two.
"We should continue." Rhys said with surprising amount of gentleness in his voice while looking into Dawne's eyes. |

Dawne nodded. "Right," she said. "We should go...not safe to stick around...right?"
Why is he looking at me like that? My heart is beating WAY too fast again... She walked off, though she slipped her hand into Rhys' and pulled him along with her. |

"It's not. We're in the Yukaran plains. This is a very chaotic place these days." Rhys said.
As they traveled the sun set and it became dark. Evriya gasped at the sight of the night sky. It was filled with stars. Some so bright that she was pretty sure she could see them during the day as well. At least we'll see where we're going. she thought. "We should get to a relatively safe area in few more hours. We can rest then." Rhys said maintaining a steady, rought pace. They even passed some weird floating machines which were shaped like a hexagon and were made from stone, crystals and metal. It was impossible to say what their purpose was. If they did anything anymore. What a strange and hostile world. she thought. |

Dawne blinked at the sky.
"Wow," she said. "Look at all those stars!" She was taking in everything as they walked. "Rhys, this is an amazing world," she said. "But so dangerous. How do people survive?" |

"Their parents, if they survive, teach them how to. And then they teach their kids and so on." Rhys said. "Also, the Low Lands are pretty safe
and stable. The largest cities and civilization is located there. People venture into the wilderness in hopes of getting rich by discovering some old ruins or
something. Or scientists want to study the machines. They've been at it for decades if not for centuries and are no closer solving their purpose."
Evriya was listening intently. From the description it sounded like Kaior was advanced but because of the chaotic nature of the landscape people still had to use traditional means when exploring the world. |

Dawne listened closely. "Hey, Evriya," she said, "do you think Jirakae will ever get machines like the ones here? Or the ones Tristan and his
family and friends use?"
Personally, she didn't like the technology Tristan and the others used in their world. It was far too noisy for her taste, and it actually frightened her a bit. |

"Maybe. Who knows." Evriya said. The most advanced technology is in the hands of the Mist Elves but that's all magical I think. Second, comes the
nation of Zephyr. But we're far from technology like Tristan's world."
The journey continued and they eventually reached safer, more solid ground. Rhys took them to an abandoned cave which he said was safe to sleep in. "I've stayed here many times before. It's safe. We'll rest here and continue in the morning." "It's not long until morning." Evriya said. Rhys merely shrugged and went to find a comfortable place to sleep. |
